I would give a 5 stars as I love the food and the music. They have a great menu and the food is the delicious, especially the shrimp quesidillas and seafood bread....the bands are always rockin too...I love The Socials! and the costume contest was one of the best I have been to... however, I cannot bare to be in this place for too long because of the smoke. I am literally sick from being around the smoke last night at the Halloween Party. I don't drink so it's not a hangover! Castaways- please do something about this! I am not going to be able to come and hang out anymore it you don't!!

I have been here a few times. Always consistent with their food. Above just bar food and very very friendly staff. Bartenders are sweet. Breath of fresh air. I got the oyster po boy. Above average. All good.

Great food, drinks and service. I definitely recommend the Nola Shrimp and the burgers. Daily lunch specials are always good but will run out (especially on pork chop day) so get there early. Love the staff and regulars!

I wanted to try a new spot for lunch in Ocean Springs and this restaurant caught my eyes and the reviews indicated that it had some great food despite the smoking atmosphere. I had the fish and chips. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the order the quickness. The atmosphere was fun and festive and you could tell this was a neighborhood favorite. The service was on point and the smoke was not that bad, np but I left after a couple of hours before it got really crowded with additional smokers. Also they had a live band that was on point and huge television screens for sports fans. I will definitely be back and take advantage of a late evening on the patio.

To start off with, if smoke bothers you, go somewhere else. This is a bar filled with smokers that also serves food. If you go on a weekday it isn't too bad. I am not a smoker, but I am used to hanging in dives, so it doesn't bother me. That being said the food is pretty damn good! I have tried quite a few things from the Ahi sandwich to the burger. I love the Ahi sandwich with the Wasabi aioli. The sourdough buns on both of these sandwiches really seal the deal. The burger has one hell of a patty and frankly I would prefer a little less meat to bun to balance it out just right. But that being said the burger is definitely a winner. This is actually my favorite burger on the coast and I have tried most all of them. The bands can kind of get old, on Friday and Saturday you will usually hear The Socials or The GRS Experience. Would enjoy seeing some different bands in there. The drinks are fairly priced and the wait staff are usually on their toes taking care of everything. I love to go in there when the jukebox is on and piss the regulars off with some crazy music they aren't used to. Keeps things lively. They can have some punks in there with chips on their shoulders, but it hasn't been an issue this far. the guy who runs security is usually trying to pick up some fat girl, so that's always fun to watch. He is a weird dude, I don't think he gets out much.

Any time, any day my favorite place down here. Nobody knows me cause I just moved into the area but EVERYONE is so nice. Mike and Amanda always make me feel at home. Everything I have eaten has been really good (or as in the $8 Prime Rib I had... it was well worth the cost). My favorite is the big ol' burger, Patty Melt. Anything fried I've had is good as well, especially the pickles. The salad dressings and potatoes are really good too. Extensive menu and REALLY, everything so far has been good. Specials for lunch and at night! Oh, it IS a bar and the beverages are reasonable and always good. Mike even turned me on to a new whiskey!

Ahhhhhhh. Shitty ass dive bar. Good strong drinks. Sorta gruff bartenders & drunk redneck locales what else do you need when visiting the armpit of America.

This is a relaxed, kick-backed kind of place. The food is amazing and the alcohol selection great. The servers are excellent and very attentive - your glass won't be empty. Tuesday nights are Prime Rib special night, so that is what we ordered. The rub on this prime rib was phenomenal, just awesomely-delicious. The portions were very large, both Vicky and I had left-overs to take home. It was a week night so there were not many people at the bar smoking, which made it just a very good meal experience. We will definitely be back again.

A bit of an after smoke smell (not a smokefree joint), but the po-boys were good and fulfilling. And good prices. Might be a good nighttime place.

As we were in MS for business during the hockey playoffs, our search was narrowed to sports bars close to our hotel. After a failed attempt to go to Red Zone Grill due to remodeling, we were pleasently surprised by not only the laid back local vibe but also the food. We split the nachos (very good and well presented) and my fried shrimp Po'boy was delicious. My friends both had burgers and were happy with the flavor and portion size. Waitresses were exceptionally helpful (found our game AND put it on the TV closest to our table) and always on top of offering a refill before our glasses were empty. The only down side was that smoking was still allowed indoors, but it was a small price to pay for a chance to relax and watch the Caps game away from home. Bottom line, good food, good service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Great place to stop if you're looking for a cocktail at 5 a.m. The bar never closes! Has a juke box and pool tables. Very friendly bartender!

Great beer, friendly bartenders, unique customers, cheap prices, but most importantly the best deep fried pickles I have ever had! I have been to a bunch of places that serve this item, and now that I had them here they are ruined for me, because the rest just don't add up. The others i had all seemed to be lightly battered and still very pickle like. Here at castaways they were very crispy on the outside with the great tartness of the pickle inside. Kinda like a chip. I truly don't know what to say about em they are the best. This place is definitely a local spot, but everyone was friendly.

Returned a few more times. The taste of the food is consistent and the bartenders friendly. I like it when I do not have to hunt a server down. I tend to leave before any bands play or the karaoke begins, as I like a really mellow vibe when I am out. Loud music while eating is a bit irritating to me.

Attention management, have bands start on time and tell the male bartender if we wanted to listen to gangsta rap we would go to Gaston Point!
